When Twilight came out, I watched it, but I don't remember being especially fascinated. It was alright. I like stories about myths and legends... the kind of stories you'd find in a literature book, so it was the sort of thing that I'd normally like.
I watched New Moon because I wanted to see how the story continued... m'kay, I'll admit, I did get a little caught up in everyone else's excitement. I mean, it's hard not to... excitement is kind of like a smile. It's contagious.
New Moon ended in the most unsatisfying way possible. I'm supposed to wait for the threequel to find out who she chooses!
No... I don't think so.
So I decided to cheat and borrow the next part of the series from the library.
AJ caught wind of my plan and surprised me with the whole series. He was going to give me the last two books, but the lady at the bookstore convinced him that when they made the movies, they left a lot out.
So he got all of them.
I'm in the midddle of New Moon, and the books are so much better than the movies. I haven't been sucked into a book like this since I was a teenager.
I know, that's like five years ago!
(Ha! There's no way I was a teenager five years ago...)
I have to remind myself that I have a life, or I'd be reading all day. I've had to limit myself to mostly nights when everyone is sleeping... a book is better at night when it's quiet anyway.
I know that I'm probably sounding a little childish to some of you, and I don't really care.
Mostly, I just want to say that my husband is awesome.
I'm feeling just a little bit spoiled.
